Alumina ceramic is a high-performance ceramic material with alumina (Al₂O₃) as the main component, possessing the following core:
1. High hardness and abrasion resistance
With a Mohs hardness of 9, second only to diamond, and abrasion resistance 266 that of manganese steel.
Suitable for cutting tools, bearings, wear-resistant linings, etc.
2. High-temperature resistance
Can be used for periods at 1600℃, with a short-term temperature resistance of up to 2050℃.
Used for kiln components, thermocou protection tubes, etc.
3. Electrical insulation
With a room temperature resistivity of 10¹⁵Ω·cm and an insulation strength of 15kV/.
Used for circuit boards, spark plugs, etc.
4. Corrosion resistance
Resistant to strong acids, strong bases, and molten metal erosion.
Cical reaction kettles, seals, etc.
5. Mechanical strength
With a flexural strength of 250-500MPa, it remains stable at high temperatures.
Mechanical parts, artificial bones, etc.
6. Other properties
Low density (3.7-3.95g/cm³) lightweight.
Some models can be polished to a surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.4μm.
